Joan Foppe Joan E. Foppe, 90, of Breese, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020, at Cedarhurst of Breese. She was born March 21, 1930, at Bartelso, the daughter of Frances, (Kohrmann) and Bernard Wellinghoff. On March 28, 1951, she married Edward Foppe at St.

Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso. Joan was a homemaker and also helped her husband Flip with his business, Tire and Battery. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, St. Altar Sodality, St.

Augustine quilters, HSHS St. Hospital Auxiliary, American Legion Unit 252 Auxiliary and Catholic Holy Family Society. Joan enjoyed quilting, playing cards (espe- cially bunco), bingo and bowl- ing. She is survived by her chil- dren, Stephanie (Jerry) Kapp of Edwardsville, Kathryn (Jeff) LeCleir of Danville, Barbara (Lance) Reilmann of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Ed (Angie) Foppe of Minneapolis, Minnesota; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sib- lings, Marie Davis, Grace (Paul) Goedde and Margie (Paul) Schniers of Breese, Sis- ter Catherine Wellinghoff, ASC of Ruma, and Paul Wellinghoff of Alton; a sister-in-law, Dottie Wellinghoff of Breese; and nieces and nephews.

He was born Oct. 21, 1941, at Breese, the son of Louise (Hollenkamp) and Louis Koerkenmeier. On Sept. 12, 1964, he married Jeanette Rib- bing at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese.

Charley retired as a plant electrician for Ford Motor Company. He was member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese and United Auto Workers Local 325. 16, 2020, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in He was born July 18, 1946, at Bartelso, the son of Eliza- beth (Wessel) and Fred Beck- mann. On Jan. 30, 1970, he married Marilyn Kalmer at Da- miansville. Jerry worked as an airline mechanic, retiring from Ameri- can Airlines after 41 years of service to the industry.

He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland, American Legion Post 1227 in Becke- meyer and the NRA. Jerry enjoyed playing cards, four-wheeling, camping, boat- ing and hunting. He was a hardworking man and enjoyed life. He loved his children and grandchildren.

Jerry also en- joyed playing golf in his retire- ment and the on WGEL. Doris Addison Doris Jean Addison, 85, of Salem, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2020, at Good Samaritan Hos- pital in Mt. Vernon. She was born Feb. 1, 1935, at Carlyle, the daughter of Ruby (Zinn) and Evert Hig- gins.

On July 30, 1960, she married Frank Addison. She is survived by her chil- dren, Anita Wyatt and Lori Ad- dison of Salem and Frank Ad- dison of Iuka; a son-in-law, Sam Robb; seven grandchil- dren; 12 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Ronnie Higgins and Dale Higgins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Oct. 6, 1998; a daughter, Darla Robb; a grandson; and siblings, Sara Higgins and Erma Hig- gins at infancy, David Schulte, Mary Ann Francois, Barbara Knight and Dennis Higgins. Hospital in Breese. He was born in Carlyle on March 16, 1935, the son of Margaret (Lake) and Herman Luebbers. On July 7, 1956, he married Myrna Pott at Lyn- wood, California. Bob retired from Rehkem- Construction Co. and was the original owner of Luebbers Ice Cream for many years.

He was a devoted husband, loving father and caring grandfather. Bob loved bowling, fishing and playing cards. He was a mem- ber of St. Church. He is survived by his wife; his children, Diane (David) Duckworth of Flippin, Arkan- sas, Mike (Shirlene) Luebbers of Hoffman, Phyllis (Dale) Kraus of Dyersburg, Tennes- see, Denise (Glen) Voss of Car- lyle and Joan (Curt) Becke- meyer of Champaign; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grand- children, and eagerly expecting the arrival of another grand- child in February; sisters, Betty McClintock of California, Marcella Dimock of Oklahoma and Sister Gabriella Luebbers of Illinois; two brothers, Mari- on Luebbers of Arizona and Matt (Cindy) Luebbers of Washington; and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Scott Lu- ebbers; brothers, Joseph Lueb- bers, Raymond Luebbers, Dan- iel Luebbers and Jack Lueb- bers; and a sister, Helen Hol- lenkamp. She was born May 29, 1934, on a farm in Minneola, Mis- souri, the daughter of Mary (Maness) and Louis Palmer and the youngest of nine chil- dren. On Nov. 9, 1957, she married Jesse Hernandez. Dot (to her friends and fam- ily) moved to St. Louis, where she worked for for 10 years, met and later married Jesse Hernandez, and enjoyed over 39 years together.

She was a country girl at heart, a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed reading, good food, and spending time with her family and close friends. She is survived by two chil- dren, Randy (Patricia) Hernan- dez of Dallas, Texas, and San- dy (Jerry) Strubhart of Aviston; grandchildren, Danny Hernan- dez, Jacob Strubhart, Josh Her- nandez and Luke Strubhart; and many other family mem- bers and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and siblings William, Fred, Richard, Bessie, Mildred, Lil- lian, Maude and Catherine. Per her wishes, she will be laid to rest with a private burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. She is survived by three sons, Neal (Roxanne) Michael of Collinsville, and Lyle (Joy) Michael and Noel (Christie) Michael of Centralia; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Ar- lene (William) Palm.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on July 17, 2003; and a brother, Marvin Vogel. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman. Reva Schneider Reva Lucille Schneider, 86, of Beckemeyer, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, at St. Hospital in Breese. She was born April 18, 1934, at Carlyle, the daughter of Anna (Meyer) and Joseph Kapp. On June 24, 1953, she married Leo Schneider.

Reva worked at Wee Walker Shoe Factory in Carlyle for 34 years. She loved to play pi- nochle. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Deanna) Schneider of East Dubuque; and a grandson, Cody (Sheldyn) Schneider. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Feb. 16, 1999; three brothers, George Kapp, Harold Kapp, and a brother at infancy; and six sisters, Louise Hartleib, Gladys Hannig, Eileen Bren- dle, Johanna Sundrup, Leona Nichols and Edna Schwier- john.

Brenda Bower Brenda Kay Bower, 51, of Carlyle, died at her home on Friday, Nov. 20, 2020. She was born July 25, 1969, at Jacksonville, the daughter of Delores (Hartman) and Cleve- land Plunkett. On Aug. 30, 2008, she married Brent Bower in Brown County, Indiana.

Brenda loved her family, her pets, her church and communi- ty. She was a member of Car- lyle Christian Church and helped others through her work with the Carlyle Rotary Club. Brenda loved to cook and bake, and enjoyed boating.
